What does the Stripe integration do?
- Connect with an API key and a webhook signing secret. A test action confirms the connection by reading your Stripe balance.
- Create a payment link. You provide an amount, a currency code (for example usd, inr or eur), a product name and a quantity. InboxWA creates the price and the link in your Stripe account and returns the URL, ready to send to the customer.
- Receive payment events. InboxWA exposes a webhook endpoint that verifies Stripe's signature (HMAC-SHA256 over the timestamp and body, compared in constant time) and logs each payment event against your account.
When would you choose Stripe or Razorpay?
If you collect in rupees from Indian customers, most teams reach for Razorpay, which also has a ready-made flow step that can check whether a link was paid. Stripe suits teams that already run on it, or that bill international customers in other currencies. Check that your Stripe account supports the currencies and payment methods you need.
What are the limits?
- One-off links only. It does not create or manage subscriptions.
- Events are logged, not acted on. A Stripe payment webhook is verified and recorded; it does not by itself send a receipt or start a flow.
- Payments settle in your own Stripe account under Stripe's terms and fees. InboxWA does not process the payment.
