How does a broadcast work in InboxWA?
- Pick an approved template. Marketing messages must use a template Meta has approved. Submit templates from InboxWA and track their approval.
- Choose the audience. Upload a CSV or pick a segment of existing contacts, and map the CSV columns to the template's variables.
- Preview. Check the rendered message for a few contacts before sending.
- Send now or schedule. The dispatcher respects Meta's rate limits and watches your quality rating, so a campaign does not run into a limit.
- Read the results in analytics: delivered, read and replies, so the next campaign is better.
The rules that decide whether it works
- Opt-in. Send only to people who agreed to hear from you. InboxWA records consent per contact and honours opt-outs on marketing broadcasts.
- Quality rating. Blocks and reports lower it, and a low rating reduces how many messages you may send. Relevant, infrequent messages protect it.
- Template approval. Meta reviews each template; review typically takes under a day, but plan for rejections and resubmission.
- Cost. Meta bills a per-message fee by category, and marketing is the dearest. See the pricing calculator and what you actually pay.

How is this different from the WhatsApp Business app?
The free app's broadcast lists reach only contacts who have saved your number and are limited in size. The API sends approved templates to opted-in lists at scale, with delivery tracking. The trade-offs are explained in WhatsApp Business app vs API.
What do the plans include?
Starter includes bulk broadcast up to 5,000 messages a month; Growth and Scale are built for larger volumes. Meta's message fees are separate and passed through with no markup. See the pricing page.
What are the limits?
- You cannot send marketing messages to people who have not opted in, and no tool can make that safe.
- Sending limits depend on your number's quality rating and tier, which Meta controls.
- This page describes what the integration does today, including its limits. If you need something it does not do, our custom integration service scopes it as a project.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best way to send bulk WhatsApp messages in India?
Use the official WhatsApp Business API with approved templates, send only to opted-in contacts, pace the campaign and protect your quality rating. A broadcast tool such as InboxWA handles templates, CSV variable mapping, previews and rate limits.
Can I send a broadcast to any list of numbers?
No. Marketing messages must go to people who opted in, and sending to cold lists lowers your quality rating and can get the number restricted.
How is the API different from WhatsApp Business app broadcast lists?
The app's lists reach only contacts who saved your number and are small. The API sends approved templates to opted-in lists at scale, with delivery and read tracking.
How much does a WhatsApp broadcast cost?
Meta charges a per-message fee, highest for marketing templates, plus your platform plan. Use the pricing calculator to estimate your own volume.
