# List message templates

`GET /api/templates`  (operationId: `listTemplates`, group: Messaging)

The workspace’s WhatsApp message templates as WhatsApp holds them, up to 100, each with its name, status, category, language and components. To send a template message, use the name and language of a template whose status is APPROVED.

Part of the core API, included in the Growth and Scale plans. Any valid key, on Growth and Scale. The workspace must have WhatsApp connected.

**Response 200**: The templates.

| 403 | `not_connected` | WhatsApp is not connected for this workspace. |
| 500 | `Failed to fetch templates` | WhatsApp did not answer. |
