# Delete many contacts

`POST /api/contacts/bulk-delete`  (operationId: `bulkDeleteContacts`, group: Contacts)

Deletes up to 500 contacts in one call. Contacts the caller cannot see are left alone and are not counted in deleted.

Part of the full API, which is included in the Scale plan. Any one of these scopes is enough: `contacts`.

**Request body** (JSON, required)

| 400 | `phones array required` | phones is missing or empty. |
| 400 | `max 500 phones per call` | More than 500 numbers. |
