# AI tools (MCP)

`POST /api/mcp` is a Model Context Protocol endpoint (JSON-RPC 2.0 over plain HTTP, no session) that lets any MCP client, such as Claude Desktop or Cursor, list and call the workspace actions you have chosen to expose.

- **It does not use an API key.** It has its own bearer token, created in the Server Actions settings, or a token from the OAuth connection flow. A missing or invalid token is answered 401 `invalid_token`.
- **Only exposed actions are visible.** An action has to be marked as exposed to MCP, and an action that requires approval in the app cannot be exposed.
- Only `tools/list` and `tools/call` are supported.
